He worked for three years in India before moving to Saudi Arabia, where he served in a tertiary care military hospital in the Department of Orthopaedics and later at a Ministry of Health hospital. He obtained specialist equalization in Orthopaedics from the Saudi Council for Health Specialties and also served briefly with the Ministry of Health in the Maldives. He is trained in Advanced Trauma Life Support by the American College of Surgeons and has attended several national and international conferences. He is actively involved in academic activities and has delivered lectures at clinical meetings.
